PCSX2 is a PlayStation 2 emulator for Windows and Linux, started by the same team that brought you PCSX.

The PCSX2 project attempts to allow PS2 code to be executed on your computer, thus meaning you can put a PS2 DVD or CD into your computers drive, and boot it up!

This is really the worst thing I've ever used. OK, it's 2012 and there are no plans for 64bit support even multicore cpus aren't supported. When you cry about the bad performance the devs suggest to buy an overclockable cpu. The whole project aims to be multiplatform but they still prefer the direct3d plugin instead of writing a plugin which works on all platforms.

So if you really want to play some ps2 classics buy a ps2 on ebay...
