Hammerfight is about 2D battles of flying machines equipped with various slashing, piercing and blunt weaponry.
A unique combat style is based on realistic physics simulation, and it ties the movements of the rider to the movement of your mose. As you wave your mouse, your rider swings his warhammer, smashing the foe into the wall!

This is great game, I got really addicted to it.
Gameplay, graphics, replayability, everything.
I played it on windows first, whole single-player + arena fights, and then 6 months later when I bought it in recent "Humble indie bundle" I played it all again on the ubuntu. I guess that all bugs were fixed in that release because I haven't noticed any bugs (just as on windows).
I suggest to set 'mouse sensitivity' as low as possible (100 or 200), that helps to fit your mouse movements to the table :) And also adds more power to your hits.
Though, I still don't know where to get the 'rubys' from? Played it two times, always got one red ruby during single player, equipped it, and then I could not get any other to equip in better weapon. Weapons are full of ruby slots and no rubies anywhere.
Only one downside - it seems that it is a little more 'jiggy' on linux than on windows
I bet these are port problems - windoze version worked smoothly when I played it :(
One of best fight game out now.
The big problem: no multiplayer...
The bigger problem: bugs spam like worm spam in game...
control bug, interface bug, core bug, savegames bug.
I got 7 different conditions... ok...
My PC excells in the requirenments. Still, gameplay feels not fluent.
The controls are lagging and overall this game seems to consume an awfull lot of CPU and RAM when I run it. I do not understand how it eats so much resources just for 2D graphics.
This was a waste of money.
This is a BRILLIANT game, one of the best ever created. Definitely. 10 stars, no doubt. I've played it ~3 years ago (it was then known under the name of Hammerfall) on windoze, and it just had blown my mind. Awesome story, awesome graphics, awesome gameplay. Nothing to complain about (well, maybe only the english translation was not perfect then, but things might had changed during these 3 years). Seriously, you must try it.
